Socialize the puppy

How exciting it is to pick up your new puppy and finally bring it home. You need to make an appointment with your local Vet within two business days to have the puppies checked out by your Vet. Some things to remember the puppy feels lost and alone it is no longer with its mother or siblings. The first night at your home the puppy will cry. He’s waiting for one of the pack to answer. When they don’t he tries again. You’ll notice that the first night is the worst. During the day your puppy may either be a little nervous of you, or it may follow you right away. New puppies should not be taken out with you and shown off to all your friends for the first week. He needs to get to know and trust is new family.

After the puppy has become adjusted to the new home and received his third shot, I recommend you introducing the puppy to parks, lakes, pet stores, etc. the more people and places your puppy experiences, the more well adjusted he will be as an adult.Be sure the puppy is put on their own four paws for these outings; holding him in your arms could send wrong signal, he need to be put down and experience it on his own.
